Faith is a business strategy.

I've closed deals I had no logical reason to believe in. Conviction is contagious — investors, partners, and customers all buy it before they buy the product.

I know how this sounds in a room full of MBAs. But 13 years into building MYAVANA, I can say it plainly: faith is a business strategy. Not a wishful one — an operational one. It's the thing that lets you make a call before the data is complete, walk into a room where nobody looks like you, and stay standing when the round takes 14 months instead of 4.

Conviction is the product before the product.

Every enterprise deal I've closed with Ulta, Sephora, Unilever, and Amazon started the same way: someone had to believe in the category before there was a category. That belief had to come from me first. If I didn't carry it into the room, nobody was going to invent it on my behalf. Faith is what lets you sell the future in a present tense.

Where faith and strategy meet.

  • Faith tells you the vision is right. Strategy tells you what to do on Tuesday.
  • Faith tells you to keep going. Strategy tells you what to stop doing so you can.
  • Faith gets you the meeting. Strategy gets you the signature.

You need both. Founders who only pray fail slowly. Founders who only spreadsheet fail quietly. The ones who last carry both into the room and let them argue on the whiteboard.

Faith is not a substitute for the work. It's what makes the work possible.

Keep shifting.
